In verses 23-24, we read about Peter’s overnight road trip to visit Cornelius.
Peter is wondering about the vision, but things start making sense in verses 17-22.
He is invited to visit Cornelius, a faithful Gentile.
Peter is just beginning to understand that the vision is opening the kingdom of God to non-Jews.
In verses 1-8, we read about the centurion named Cornelius.
It’s significant that he receives a vision from God. He’s a Gentile.
Cornelius wisely obeys the vision and sends representatives to Simon the tanner’s house.
