The Name: Word of God

In Revelation 19:13, Jesus is named Word of God.

But the phrase “word of God” almost exclusively refers to the message and teaching recorded in the Bible.

Isaiah 53:1-6

The opening question of this passage implies that without divine revelation, it would be impossible to understand Jesus accurately.

The next four verses describe Jesus’ low status.

The last two verses explain the theological significance of his sacrifice.

In Revelation, prayers are symbolized by incense.
