Playing the Crowd

In verses 6-10, Paul takes advantage of the disputes between the Pharisees and Sadducees to prevent having both sides attack him in a united assault.

It stirs things up so much that the Roman commander fears for Paul’s life and removes him from the Sanhedrin.
